Media Deals Agreed

Media deals for the coming season were announced today, with over £675 million on the table in total, less than last years' £681.2 million media package. This year saw a four way tie for the top media deal, with the PFA, XEFA, AEFA and NFA all agreeing a deal worth £1.11m per club, however this represented a fall in media income of 0.05m per club for the XEFA.

The SFA benefitted most from the renegotiated media deals, agreeing a deal worth an extra £0.06m per club over last seasons' deal.

Overall UFFA membership has grown by 18 teams since last season, and for the first time there are official stats available indicating the number of inactive teams (for four weeks or longer) in the union. At the start of the season these inactive teams account for 19% of all union members.
