Dutch superstar Ryan Babel has completed a shock move from Relegation Fodder to XFA Premiership challengers Dream Diamonds in one of the biggest transfers in recent seasons for a fee of £1.8 million.
Babel made 1'605 appearances for the the Fodder since signing for the club as a free agent in season 1, and is the club's all-time record goalscorer with 427 goals from his 5 seasons at the club.
The transfer market has been showing signs of recovery in recent weeks and this is further evidence that clubs are beginning to ramp up investment in their playing staff once more following a period where many club's finances have been allocated to stadium expansion.
